Is it our tradition or convention for the women to let their men choose their way and style of life?
Is giving up our personal space a good way to show that we love someone?
Is dressing up and changing mannerisms accordingly going to improve relationships?
Though these could be very interesting and romantic in the beginning, some women feel the total lack of personal space and the loss of individuality.
To my opinion, most marriages running into troubles have the women complaining about lack of personal space and an inability to take decisions.
Are the men to be blamed completely for dominating their spouses or women to be equally blamed for giving up on their individuality for the sake of romance?
On the other hand marriages also seem to fall into trouble when one has strong boundaries for personal space and strong sense of individual likes and dislikes.
Needles to say that there needs to be a balance between the two to be compatible partners.
Note the word "balance" - a precarious term to be used very very subjectively.
But how do we all describe this balance? How much of being unbending as well as adjusting is compromise?
